It put a new perspective on the entire book, and gave it more depth and emotion. I was pretty surprised by the ending as well. I liked all three of the love interests as well by themselves (just not with Belly!). I liked most of the characters besides Belly! The two moms–Belly’s and Jeremiah/Conrad’s–were wonderful characters, and I love how they were such good moms, but still friends themselves and good characters. I read it all in one sitting, and it’s a fun book to fly through in the summer and just give you good vibes. With that being said, Belly aside, there were some things I liked about this book. But I honestly didn’t ship Belly with any of the guys–none of them gave me the feelies!–and I thought that she treated her boyfriend terribly! BUT THEN she almost throws a fit when people don’t go along with her crazy schemes, and thinks everyone’s behavior is because of her?ĪND don’t even get me started on the love “triangle.” Which was really more of a love square because there are three love interests? Why three people all like this girl is beyond me. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer–they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad.
